Harry Lewis Parmley age 65 of Monteagle passed away at his home Thursday morning, November 30, 2017. Harry was born in Chattanooga on September 2, 1952, a son of the late Harry Leslie Parmley and Dorothy Lee Hale Parmley. Harry was retired from Frito-Lay and was very active in his community, serving as an alderman on the city council, also he had served as a police officer and volunteer fireman and had been Santa for Monteagle’s Christmas events for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife, Dorraine Hamby Parmley; son, Michael (Amanda) Parmley; daughters, Mindy (Dennis) Morris and Melissa (Nick) Worley; sister, Peggy Parmley and Harriet (Ricky) Richards; grandchildren, Autumn, Danica, Dylan, Brett and Benjamin; several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Clayton Jones officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 noon until service time.
